Abarth & C.
Abarth & C. was founded on 31 March 1949 by Karl Abarth and Guido Scagliarini. In addition to its racing activity for which Guido Scagliarini achieved immediate success in the Italian 1100 Championship, Mille Miglia and Targa Florio, the stated purpose of ABARTH was for the production of performance exhausts and tuning kits. ABARTH would grow into a racing and road car maker across manufacturer platforms, and over the company’s history ABARTH amassed 10 world records, nearly 150 international records, and over 10,000 track victories. Abarth & C. was sold to Fiat SpA on 31 July 1971.

Fratelli Scagliarini
After the sale of Abarth & C. to Fiat SpA in 1971, Guido Scagliarini established a consultancy to the Italian automobile and motorsport industries. In addition to playing a principal role in the successful transfer of ABARTH’s road racing program to Osella, Guido Scagliarini was instrumental in the development of the Fiat 124 Abarth, Fiat 131 Abarth and Lancia Stratos HF Group 4 rally cars. Other notable contributions made by Guido Scagliarini during this period, which ran from 1972 to 1979, was assisting in the formation of alloy wheel manufacturer Fondmetal.

Founded in 2011 Autofficina Scagliarini is a performance, styling and tuning solutions company for passenger cars and SUVs. Of the approximately 25 models developed by Autofficina Scagliarini to date, the Scagliarini 504 CZE, C39 SRG and iQ 009 achieved critical acclaim. In addition to its limited production and special edition cars, the SCAGLIARINI™ Piss-Off Valve™ sells worldwide under license. Temporarily suspending vehicle operations on 31 December 2017 to focus on its cycling division, future models releasing under the SCAGLIARINI™ banner may include the Explorer SuperSport, Focus RSS, JCW Rally, Range Rover SuperSport and WRX STI Rally.
SMALL BUT WICKED TRANSFIGURED
NASTYSEXY
The NastySexy™ phrase originates, in part, from the 1960’s saying coined by Abarth & C. for its cars, “Small but Wicked”. The use of the conjunction “but” was viewed as qualifying, so G. Scagliarini & Cº. set out to capture the essence of the company’s high-performance and racing cars without apology. “Nasty And Sexy” was first born, and the phrase was later shortened and combined to form NastySexy™.
